About This Venue

Theater J performs in the magnificently renovated 250-seat Cecile Goldman Theater. Theater J produces classic and contemporary plays and musicals that provoke and entertain, celebrating the vitality and intensity of the Jewish experience while addressing the pressing moral questions and shared concerns of the Washington community. In addition to three main stage productions, staged readings and special performances, Theater J sponsors acting and movement classes for beginning actors as well as the complete novice.
