About This Venue
|
The Variety Arts Theatre is a 499-seat Off-Broadway theater, one of the largest in Off-Broadway venues in New York City. The Variety was one of the first Nickelodeons in the city, eventually falling into disrepair and becoming a venue for pornographic films. Since that time, William Miller and Ben Sprecher have extensively converted and renovated the theater. Now a clean, comfortable, accomodating space, the Variety is no longer home to disrespectful films; it is the home of the 2000 Pulitzer Prize-winning show Dinner with Friends.
