Wayne LeGette will play George and Melissa Minyard will play Dot/Marie in the concert version of Stephen Sondheim and James Lapine's Sunday in the Park With George, to be presented by the Caldwell Theatre in Boca Raton, October 8-11. Clive Cholerton will direct, with musical direction by Jon Rose.
The Pulitzer Prize-winning musical is the fictional account of the impressionist painter George Seurat and his journey to create the masterpiece painting, "A Sunday Afternoon on the Island of La Grande Jatte", and his distant relative, a modern day artist suffering from creative paralysis.
The cast will also feature Jim Ballard, Kim Cozort, Elizabeth Dimon, Chelsa Leigh Green, Liana Hoffman, John LaRiviere, Bruce Linser, Brian Minyard, Nicole Niefeld, Shane R. Tanner, Laura Turnbull, and Laura Wayth.
